Hello, nice to meet each and everyone of you. My name is Heidi Alford. Since I was little I have loved Japanese culture. I loved the cartoons, animes, and as I grew older I grew to love more and more aspects of Japan. My dream is to move to Japan and become a singer/dancer. I love Japanese music, it's become my passion over the past few years, and I would love to move to Japan to pursue a career in it. Since sixth grade, I have been self teaching Japanese to myself. In ninth grade, I started taking Japanese class and have learned so much more. Now I am in Japanese two. I love the language so much that over the summer I want to go to a language school so I can perfect it. By going to language school and perfecting my Japanese, I will be able to open many doors for myself. I will be able to sing in Japanese and achieve my dream as a singer there. I've signed up with AFS to go Japan over the summer. It will be a dream come true for me! I will finally be in the place I've always wanted and learning the language I love. But I can't do it alone.
In order to go to Japan over this summer, I need to raise 3,000 dollars. That is why I am starting this blog, to spread to the world my dream and ask them for help to achieve it. I am asking anyone who reads this to please help me achieve my dream by donating. I have started fundraising the money myself, through church and volunteer organizations, and have gotten $500 dollars so far! I am hoping to also get a part-time job soon to help raise more. If you could please help me reach my goal by contributing any amount of money, no matter how small, I would greatly appreciate it. I know times our tough right now, but I really need help and reaching out beyond just family and friends is the only way I know how to ask for it.
